2012

Following the sellout success of McLardy’s ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ white label earlier in the year this EP includes an instrumental mix of that track. Also on the EP are two original productions from McLardy with his usual high standard of production and a remix from Leeds based Jack Wickham keeping things northern as Baker Street like to.

‘Nice release, quality work.’ Brett Johnson / Crosstown Rebels / Moodmusic / Bang The Box

‘Nice mellow grooves for Sundays like these, I like ‘em.’ – Tyler Stadius / Fabric / Sensei

This EP has the usual high standard of production you would expect from Steve Banks but with the Baker Street sound stamped all over it! Following on from Steve’s recent string of releases on Prehn’s Oh So Coy label, Matt returns the favour by fashioning a quality remix for the EP.

Murray Richardson delivers his 3rd release on Baker Street Recordings with the ‘Memory Loss EP’.  Two original tracks showcase the trademark Richardson deep, driving, tech sounds that have made him a global success and, in the words of iDJ, “a stalwart of the UK scene for over a decade”. Remixes come from label boss Paul Hardy and McKai and the vastly experienced Gareth Whitehead (Bulletdodge, Lost My Dog), who offers a little more main room energy.

‘Great release – As expected :) – Justin Harris

Baker Street’s recent competition to remix Glow by Matt Prehn and Marcia Alves yielded such a strong cast of entries (over 50 in total!) that the very best have been picked to appear on a special EP. Five remixes cover a broad spectrum from dark and moody Single Man, to stripped back and deep Damien Exton, to chunky and bass-driven Benny Beatz, to pumping and energetic RosyRoze and finally bumping and groovy LFX.

‘Benny Beatz remix is dope!’ – Catz ‘N’ Dogz, Dirtybird / Get Physical

‘RosyRoze mix is peak time material for sure. Sweet vocals.’ – Omar Paraiso, Soulfullivingsessions.com

‘Love the sultry vocals and underground vibe of this.’ – Anish Acharya, Dream In Audio

The 5th Anniversary release showcases the higher profile names Baker Street have worked with like Moodymanc, Jay Shepheard, James Curd, Lee Mortimer and Sasse, alongside up-and-coming producers they have discovered like Matt Prehn, Ben Gomori, Tom Davis and James Barrett. It also includes a remix by Steve Banks of Matt Prehn’s ‘Insomniac Oasis’ – a track sourced through a recent remix competition, which triumphed over 50 competing entries.
